Britney Spears is again calling out her younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears, and this time it’s for “capitalizing” on her older sister’s conservatorship battle in her “salacious” book ‘Things I Should Have Said.’

As we shared back in 2021, Jamie Lynn Spears dropped her own tell-all called ‘Things I Should Have Said.’ In the book, the actress talked about her tough past including getting pregnant at 16, her “terrible” tension with her dad, her struggles with self-esteem issues, her struggles with being the younger sister of Britney Spears, and much more.

In addition to all of those topics, Jamie Lynn also spoke about feeling isolated from her sister and being separated from her when she needed her the most, on top of other unfavorable stories. Now, the timing of Jamie Lynn’s book release has been called into question already as it was dropped two months after her sister’s strict 13-year conservatorship ended.

The same day that Jamie Lynn’s book was released, Britney issued her a cease-and-desist, demanding she refrain from mentioning her name on her “ill-timed” press tour. Britney then posted several messages on social media dragging her sister and calling her “scum” several times. Firing back, Jamie Lynn went on several interviews and claimed she’d “gone out of [her] way” to help end her sister’s conservatorship.

Despite all of that, Britney is again calling out her sister for using her book to “capitalize” off of her pain. As we know, Britney clapped back at her sister’s tell-all ,’Things I Should Have Said,’ with her own book deal. On Tuesday (October 24), Britney’s memoir ‘The Woman in Me‘ is set to hit bookshelves everywhere.

Ahead of the book’s release, we’ve already learned so many things about Britney like her admitting to cheating on her fellow superstar boyfriend Justin Timberlake, him allegedly cheating on her first, them allegedly getting pregnant and having an abortion, her allegedly having an affair with Colin Farrell, and much more.

Additionally, we are now learning that Britney, 41, will recall her tumultuous relationship with her younger sister Jamie Lynn, 32. In her book, Britney claims the ‘Zoey 101’ star “betrayed” her in a time of need. In her upcoming memoir, Time reports that Britney wrote, “As I was fighting the conservatorship and receiving a lot of press attention, she was writing a book capitalizing on it. She rushed out salacious stories about me, many of them hurtful and outrageous.”

Britney also claims that she once texted Jamie Lynn for help after being placed in a mental health facility in 2018. Despite Jamie Lynn telling the public that she was there to help her sister, Britney claims Jamie Lynn told her, “Stop fighting it… There’s nothing you can do about it, so stop fighting it.”

In her book, Britney reacted and said, “This will sound crazy, but I’ll say it again because it’s the truth: I thought they were going to try to kill me. I didn’t understand how Jamie Lynn and our father had developed such a good relationship. She knew I was reaching out to her for help and that she was dogging me. I felt like she should have taken my side.”

Elsewhere, Britney says that the writing process has become therapeutic for her and helped her “move on” from her past. She says she might even be ready to consider reuniting with her sister, writing, “She will always be my sister, and I love her and her beautiful family. I’m working to feel more compassion than anger toward her, and everyone who I feel has wronged me. It’s not that easy.”

Just last week, Britney said writing her book gave her “a beautiful clean slate.” She tweeted, “This is actually a book I didn’t know needed to be written… although some might be offended, it has given me closure on all things for a better future!!!”
