Looks like Britney Spears is saddling up for a new chapter in her life! Following breaking news about her split from husband Sam Asghari, the pop singer appears to be going on her merry way.
After it was reported that Sam Asghari had filed for divorce on Wednesday from Spears, the “Oops!…I Did It Again” songstress posted a new photo to her Instagram page to announce that she had plans to purchase a horse.
“Buying a horse soon 🐴 !!! So many options it’s kinda hard !!!” Spears shared with her 42 million IG followers while posing on horseback on a beach. “A horse called Sophie and another called Roar 🐎 ??? I can’t make up my mind 🙈 !!! Should I join the camaraderie and put a pink cowboy hat on 😜 ??? Either way I think I found my sweet spot with Roar 😘 !!!” she added.

While some may find solace in retail therapy, Britney Spears has decided to seek solace in the stable. As previously reported, a person, who is close to Asghari but not authorized to speak publicly, confirmed the filing happened Wednesday, hours after TMZ and People magazine reported the couple had separated. So what was the reason? While neither of them has publicly spoken out to give real details about their breakup, another close source told Page Six that Sam Asghari allegedly now wants his estranged wife, to pay him more than what their prenup provides in return for keeping her secrets following their split.
The source told the outlet exclusively Wednesday that the “Family Business” actor, 29, is “attempting to negotiate concessions beyond his prenup and threatening to go public with extraordinarily embarrassing information about Britney unless he gets paid. So that’s what Sam is focused on.”
Meanwhile, in his divorce filing, he cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the breakup and listed their date of separation as July 28, 2023.
Now, before things went downhill, it was love and fairytales for the duo. As we previously reported, the ex-duo got married at her home in Thousand Oaks, California, on June 9, 2022, in front of guests including Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton, and Madonna. Leading up to the big day, Spears and Asghari signed a prenuptial agreement per Page Six. The ceremony came just six months earlier of the court conservatorship that controlled her life for more than 13 years.
For years Asghari has been by her side even during the bad time. Sources close to Spears tell TMZ now that he is fully out of her life and moved into his own place before he filed for divorce Wednesday — they fear that she’s losing her only support system. The source claims there’s no family around her to pick up the pieces.
