Britney Spears’ Former Manager Sam Lutfi Admits To ‘Failing Her’
Britney Spears’ former manager Sam Lutfi finally admitted to“failing” the singer amidst her conservatorship battle.
Lutfi went on Twitter on Wednesday to apologize to Spears, 39, ahead of her hearing.
“Just sitting here listening to that court recording, if she hates me after she’s free I won’t blame her,” Lutfi, 46, said.
“I failed her,” he added. “I was supposed to protect her from all this, I let her down and we both paid dearly for it – – head in hands..I’m so sorry.”
“Karma is working 24/7 plus overtime,” he added.
Lutfi was made out to be a negative figure in the pop-star’s life. Her parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears, had accused Lutfi in court documents of taking “control of her life, home and finances” adding that he “drugged” her.
“She was sad, floundering, ripe for a predator to come along. Britney was open to this man who rode in on a white horse,” Lynne Spears wrote in her memoir. However, Lutfi later won defamation suits against them.
Following the first restraining order against Lutfi, Britney was thrown into a conservatorship. He has maintained his innocence and claims the Spears’ tarnished his name to keep him away from Britney and to have control of her life.
