Britney Spears’ Ex-Husband Of 55 hours, Jason Alexander, Reacts To Her Engagement: “I’m Always Going To Love Her”
Jason Alexander is reacting to his ex Britney Spears’ latest engagement.
Alexander recently spoke with Inside Edition and shared his honest feelings about his ex-wife of 55 hours getting engaged to her longtime boyfriend Sam Asghari.
While speaking to the outlet, Alexander admitted, “I’m always going to love her,” before saying “If she’s happy with Sam and that’s going to happen, I’m happy for her.” The 39-year-old noted that he is trying to be “as nice as I can” to his ex and her fiancé but says he thinks Asghari is finally the one for her. “He’s really the only person that’s been around for a few years, so without him, she would’ve been alone,” Alexander told Inside Edition on Tuesday.
Spears and Alexander, who have known each other since they were children in Louisiana, tied the knot in 2004 but that barely lasted more than two days. Still, Alexander has been a vocal supporter of Spears throughout the years. Amid her conservatorship battle, he was once spotted at a #FreeBritney protest.
As we previously reported, Spears and Asghari announced their engagement on Instagram on Sunday after more than four years of dating. His manager Brandon Cohen also shared the big news in an additional statement to PEOPLE Mag, saying he is “proud to celebrate and confirm the engagement.”
