Britney Spears’ war with her father, Jamie Spears, is far from over. According to reports, Jamie’s legal team has filed legal documents that request for the “Hot As Ice” singer to be deposed under oath because their client has every reason to believe he’s been defamed by his daughter’s posts on social platforms such as Instagram.
The filing, which was made earlier this week, further explained how Britney “continues to make public social media posts containing incendiary allegations of various factual matters,” and should therefore be required to sit through a deposition herself. Jamie is also concerned that if Britney is willing to share her unpleasant experiences with her father on social media, he can only imagine what she will write about him in her forthcoming memoir.

Jamie also wants the mother-of-two to answer why she had made allegations claiming she was deprived of pain medication during her 13-year court-ordered conservatorship. If she’s made to attend the deposition, Jamie is also curious to know about being forced to give eight vials of blood for medical treatment.
In an interview with Page Six, Britney’s lawyer Matt Rosengart explained, “Mr. Spears, who was ignominiously suspended by the Court in September, continues to disgrace himself, especially through this most-recent foolish and ill-advised filing, which is riddled with errors and falsehoods, as he himself knows.
“In addition to trying to bully his own daughter, he is now pathetically reduced to trying to intimidate her, while abusing the legal process and running and hiding from his own deposition. Anyone else would be ashamed by these tactics, but he and his representatives are truly shameless. In terms of ‘impugning his character,’ Mr. Spears did that to himself long ago.”
Interestingly enough, the 40-year-old being hit with a motion by her dad comes just days after she went ahead and deactivated her Instagram on Thursday, one week after tying the knot with her longtime beau Sam Asghari.
It was reported that Britney chose not to have any of her family at the wedding, such as her mother Lynne, dad Jamie, sister Jamie Lynn, and brother Bryan, who claimed he was busy attending his daughter’s elementary school graduation, which is why he didn’t show up.
But the Mississippi native hit back at the remark when she took to Instagram to let it be known that Bryan never had an invitation to be at her wedding to begin with. So, the excuse he used of having to attend his daughter’s graduation made absolutely no sense. “You were never invited to my wedding so why even respond ??? Do you honestly think I want my brother there who told me no to a Jack and coke for 4 years … what ???” Britney captioned one of her IG posts this week.
