Britney Spears Conservatorship To Remain In Effect Until 2021
The conservatorship of Britney Spears is to remain in effect, as-is, until February 2021, this after Los Angeles Judge Brenda Penny ruled to extend the guardianship appointed to her father, James Spears.
Via a virtual hearing held on Thursday (Aug. 19), Judge Penny, Spears’ court appointed attorney Samuel Ingham, her father, mother Lynn Spears, their respective attorneys, and the singer’s current temporary conservator Jodi Montgomery all gathered to hear the verdict. Upon the hearing’s end, Judge Penny gave Ingham time to file a petition by September 18 to present in a hearing on October 14, and gave a deadline of October 2 to file any objections to the verdict.
