British Woman Gives Birth During High-Speed Chase

A British couple was in for a surprise when they discovered that they were being chased by police on the way to the hospital!

Marie Head, 40, gave birth in the car while her husband Ilian, 43, was driving through red lights at 90 MPH, with two cop cars in pursuit! According to the Sun, their 2-year-old daughter was also in the vehicle at the time.

The chase lasted over 10 miles until police finally caught up to the Ford Fiesta at St. Michael’s Hospital in Bristol. Llian Head put his hands in the air and shouted, “My wife’s had a baby.”

“All I wanted to do was get to the hospital as soon as possible.I could see the police in the mirror chasing me but I didn’t care, all I could think about was Marie and my baby,” Llian added.

The couple’s new baby girl, Ilina, weighed 7lb 5oz.

“It was a miracle I was able to give birth while we were swerving across the road and speeding to the hospital,” Marie told the paper.

Upon learning about the circumstances, the police did not take any further action.

“No further action was taken,” a police spokesman rep said after they became aware of the incident. “We wish the couple well.”
