British Airways is facing turbulence of a different kind—this time from inside the cabin. A flight attendant aboard a transatlantic flight was allegedly caught naked and dancing in the business class lavatory after reportedly taking drugs. The incident occurred mid-flight from San Francisco to London and left passengers and fellow crew members stunned.

According to The Independent, the in-flight manager discovered the crew member completely undressed and “dancing erratically” in the Club World cabin restroom. Instead of serving passengers, the attendant had reportedly vanished mid-flight, only to be found behaving bizarrely in a space meant for customer privacy. Once the crew managed to dress the flight attendant in spare pajamas, he was restrained and seated in the first-class section for the rest of the 10-hour journey. He remained confined for the remainder of the flight as a precaution.

The drama unfolded during a routine long-haul flight—a journey typically known for top-tier service in the premium Club World section. Passengers expecting comfort were instead met with a startling disruption when whispers among staff revealed a crew member had gone missing.

Several outlets report that drugs may have played a role in the bizarre behavior. Though toxicology reports have not been made public, the initial arrest was made under suspicion of being “unfit for duty,” a charge often associated with intoxication.

The airline industry, which holds its employees to strict safety and conduct standards, considers such behavior extremely serious. If drug use is confirmed, it could lead to not only termination but also permanent suspension from flying duties across the industry.

British Airways Responds To The Incident

Upon landing in London, the 41-year-old flight attendant was arrested by Metropolitan Police. A statement revealed he was taken to a local hospital before being released and remains under investigation. “Enquiries remain ongoing into the circumstances, and an investigation has been launched,” British Airways said in an official response.

The airline has launched an internal investigation into the incident, promising full cooperation with the Metropolitan Police. While the airline did not confirm whether the flight attendant has been suspended or terminated, sources close to the matter suggest disciplinary action is imminent.
