The family’s attorney, Steven Bertolino, explains that the coroner could not properly indicate Brian’s cause of death or manner based on the state of his remains. However, the remains will be sent to an anthropologist for most tests but Bertolino said he doesn’t know why an anthropologist is involved in the case.
As previously reported, Brian’s remains were found on Wednesday off of trial in Florida’s Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park and they were identified by the FBI via dental records. His skeletal remains were found in an area that was previously underwater.
