Breonna Taylor Grand Jury Recording Reveals Officer Testified That Neighbor Did NOT Hear Police Identify Themselves

Newly released Grand Jury audio in the Breonna Taylor case has shocking new information that will determine whether the jurors in the case were adequately informed on the officer’s actions prior to Breonna’s shooting.

Per TMZ,  according to the audio, a police lieutenant testified that one of the neighbors did NOT hear the officers identify themselves at the door. As of now it is not clear why the neighbor did not testify, but, there are 12 total neighbors who say they did not hear the officers identify themselves on that fateful night. There was only one neighbor who claimed to have heard them.

This piece of information is crucial because if the officers did not identify themselves, Breonna Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker had every right to use his weapon to protect himself as he did not know who the intruder was.

However, the officers involved claimed they did identify themselves.

“Banged on the door — no response. Banged on it again — no response. At that point we started announcing ourselves,” Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly claimed.

“We did announce the first couple of times because our intent was not to hit the door. Our intent was to give her plenty of time to come to get to the door,”

However, the Taylor family lawyer, Ben Crump says his team interviewed the 12 witnesses who reiterated that they did not hear the cops identify themselves.
