BREAKING UPDATE: Suspect taken into custody For The Murder Of Clarence Avant’s Wife Jacqueline
According to police, a suspect has been taken into custody for the murder of of Clarence Avant’s wife Jacqueline. While no further details have been shared, a family source confirmed to TMZ that someone was arrested for the crime.
As we previously reported, 81-year-old Jackie was shot and killed inside the couple’s Trousdale Estates home in Beverly Hills Wednesday morning. The suspect managed to break in by smashing a glass door of the home. A private security guard for the Avant’s was on duty, but was shot at. However, the guard was not struck and did not return fire. It’s not known if the guard was armed as well.
Clarence who was home at the time was not injured during the attack.
A news conference is expected to happen by the Beverly Hills Police Dept. 12:30 PM PT to reveal information about the arrest. We will continue to keep you updated as this story develops.
