BREAKING: Pres. Biden reacts to Donald Trump’s conviction for the first time — calls his response to guilty verdict ‘reckless,’ & ‘dangerous’

In a historic ruling, former President Donald Trump has been convicted on 34 felony counts related to a scheme to conceal hush money paid to porn star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 presidential election. The decision was made by a jury in Manhattan Supreme Court on Thursday, marking a significant moment in American legal history.

President Joe Biden, who is set to face Trump in the upcoming November election, has now spoken out about the conviction for the first time. Biden made it clear that Trump’s conviction reaffirmed the American principle that “no one is above the law.”

“Donald Trump was given every opportunity to defend himself,” Biden said. “A state case, not a federal case, was heard by a jury of 12 citizens, 12 Americans, 12 people like you, like millions of Americans who served on juries.” He added, “This jury was chosen the same way every jury in America has chosen.Five weeks after careful deliberation, the jury reached a unanimous verdict.”

Responding to Trump’s press conference earlier this Friday, Biden criticized the former president’s claims that the case was rigged. “It’s irresponsible for anyone to say this was rigged, just because they don’t like the verdict,” Biden said at the White House. This comment came shortly after Trump held a press conference at Trump Tower in Manhattan, condemning the criminal case against him.

Biden also pointed out that Trump will have the opportunity to appeal his conviction after he is sentenced on July 11. “Our justice system has endured for nearly 250 years,” Biden emphasized. “It is a cornerstone of America, and justice should be respected.”

The president concluded his remarks by noting the importance of upholding and preserving the integrity of the justice system. “We should never allow anyone to tear it down,” Biden said. “That’s America. That’s who we are, and that’s who we will always be, God willing.”
