BREAKING: Police Have Arrested A 25-Year-Old Man In Connection With The Idaho College Murders

After a month of being on the run, cops have finally nabbed a suspect in connection to the Nov. 13 murders of four University of Idaho students.

Law enforcement sources confirmed the news this Friday that a man in his mid-20s was taken into custody by local police and the FBI at 3 a.m. in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The source added that the suspect is a college student but does not attend the University of Idaho.

While a press conference is scheduled for 1 pm in Moscow, Idaho, to announce the major break in the case, it was shared that the suspect appeared in court this morning in connection to the horrific slayings of Ethan Chapin, 20, Xana Kernodle, 20, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, and Madison Mogen, 21, who was stabbed to death in a rental home.

So far, a name has not been released but will be shared during the conference.

More On The Tragic Incident

The four young adults were likely asleep when they were each stabbed multiple times in the early hours of November 13, authorities have said. Some of the victims had defensive wounds, a coroner has said. Two surviving female roommates, who lived on the basement level, appeared to have slept through the gruesome attack.

The mysterious killings initially baffled investigators and left the small college town of 25,000 deeply shaken… especially because a killing hadn’t happened in the town for seven years.

According to the university, Chapin was a first-year student from Mount Vernon, Wash., who was majoring in recreation. He was also a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. Kernodle was from Post Falls, Idaho, and she was studying marketing while also a member of the the Pi Beta Phi sorority. Kernodle was from Post Falls, Idaho, and she was majoring in marketing. Kernodle was also a member of the the Pi Beta Phi sorority. And Mogen was a senior from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, who was majoring in marketing and was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority.

Police had been urging the public to come forward with information with their families pleading for anyone to come forward with more information.

The photo of the suspect who was arrested has been identified as 28-year-old Bryan Kohberger. So far, a motive has not been shared.
