The rejection of Trump’s claims of a baseless criminal case came with the jury’s conviction, putting him at risk of up to four years in prison. Despite being a first-time offender of a non-violent offense, he may receive a lenient sentence of probation and a fine, according to @people. However, sentencing ultimately lies in the hands of the judge, with whom Trump has had numerous conflicts with.

While speaking to reporters after the trial Donald Trump referred to the case as a “disgrace” and said the trial was “rigged.”

“This was a disgrace this was a rigged trial by a conflicted judge who is corrupt it’s a rigged trial, a disgrace. They wouldn’t give us a venue change, we were at 5% or 6% in this area. This was a rigged, disgraceful trial. The real verdict is going to be on November 5th by the people and they know what happened here and everybody knows what happened here. I’m a very innocent man it’s okay I’m fighting for our country I’m fighting for the constitution. Our whole country is being rigged right now this was done by the Biden Administration.”

As we previously reported, Former President Donald Trump was indicted in New York City in April of last year on criminal charges arising from alleged hush money paid to adult film actress Stormy Daniels to avoid a scandal ahead of the 2016 U.S. election.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, had arranged a payment of $130,000 to Daniels in exchange for her signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that prevented her from discussing the alleged affair publicly.

Daniels later filed a lawsuit seeking to invalidate the NDA, claiming that it was invalid because Trump himself had never signed it. The lawsuit also alleged that Cohen had defamed her by insinuating that she had lied about the affair.
