In the same interview where he admitted that for the “first eight months” of being a first-time father he didn’t know if he loved his daughter, Cooper offers another confession. On Monday (February 26), Bradley Cooper appeared on actor Dax Shepard‘s podcast ‘Armchair Expert‘ and revealed that he is “totally comfortable” walking around his home in his birthday suit.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Cooper said he gained his confidence from his late father, who “always” did the same thing while he was growing up. The conversation began when Shepard admitted that his family was “naked all the time,” and Bradley Cooper replied, “Me too.”

The ‘Maestro‘ actor and director continued, “And by the way, I was like that. Not with my mom but with my dad. My dad was always nude, always took showers with him.” Dax Shepard then asked Bradley Cooper, “And you’re quite comfortable nude?,” to which he quickly confirmed, “Totally.”

Continuing the conversation, Shepard began speaking on his daughters, Lincoln, 10, and Delta, 9, with his wife, actress Kristen Bell. Shepard said that his girls regularly “file in” to the bathroom to talk during his “poopy time,” something that Cooper claimed he could also relate to.

The ‘Hangover‘ star said, “My bedroom, the bathtub, and toilet, and bed are all in the same room. It’s 24/7, dude.” Cooper continued to tell the ‘CHiPs’ actor about his lack of privacy at home with his 6-year-old daughter, Lea, with whom he shares with model Irina Shayk, 38.

He said, “There are no doors… The stairs go up and it’s all one floor.” Shepard asked, “Do you find that your daughter doesn’t care at all?” Cooper replied, “Yeah, no, no. We talk where I’m on the toilet, she’s in the bathtub; that’s sort of the go-to.”

The two fathers began asking each other why their little ones don’t get bothered by the smell of them on the toilet. That’s when Bradley Cooper brought up his father and his own upbringing. He said, “Here’s what’s interesting. I didn’t grow up that way. At all. I don’t think I ever saw my father on the toilet until he got sick. Like, ever in my life.”

Cooper revealed that his father, Charles, who passed away in 2011, was “always nude.” He explained, “Me too. And by the way, I was like that. Not with my mom but with my dad. My dad was always nude, always took showers with him.” When Shepard asked Cooper if he’s “quite comfortable nude,” he replied, “totally.”
