Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are still at war regarding a custody agreement of their children, six years after the former couple announced their split. In a new report, per Us Weekly, the Fight Club actor is said to be under the impression that his ex-wife’s decision to lengthen the court battle is because he doesn’t think she wants their six kids to be in his life once they turn 18.

The publication claims that Brad has been “lamenting to pals” about the legal drama he’s found himself in with Angelina since late 2016 when she filed for divorce following an alleged physical altercation between the Oklahoma native and their son Maddox on a private plane. Brad was later cleared of child abuse allegations made by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.

It was further added that the movie star thinks Angelina “will never agree to joint custody and will run out the clock until the kids are 18,” at which point they can decide whether they want to continue having a relationship with their father or not. Brad vehemently believes Angelina hopes that their children “will want nothing to do with” him once that time comes, with an insider stressing that “Brad will not give up the fight.”

Angelina and Brad are parents to six children: Shiloh, Vivienne, Maddox, Zahara, Pax, and Knox, who are believed to have spent most of their time with their mother until their dad was awarded joint custody in May 2021. Angelina appealed the decision given that the judge, John W Ouderkirk, who made the decision had officiated their wedding in 2014 and reportedly shared ties with Brad, per The Times.

Meanwhile, in February, the 58-year-old filed a lawsuit against his former flame, claiming she had sold her share in the winery they bought together to Russian billionaire businessman Yuri Shefler. In court documents obtained by TMZ, the Once Upon A Time In… Hollywood actor was seeking damages after Angelina’s share was handed to Stoli Group subsidiary Tenute del Mondo, which Yuri owns.

Brad contended he had put much more time into funding and maintaining the winery to make sure it would lead to a profit for both him and Angelina, who agreed to pay 40% for the $28.4 million estate. The legal docs outlined that “the vineyard became Pitt’s passion – and a profitable one, as Miraval, under Pitt’s stewardship, has grown into a multimillion-dollar international success story and one of the world’s most highly regarded producers of rose wine.”

“She sold her interest with the knowledge and intention that Shefler and his affiliates would seek to control the business to which Pitt had devoted himself and to undermine Pitt’s investment in Miraval.”

Brad noted that he wanted the transaction to be undone and also receive damages for the legal trouble it had caused him to fight the matter in court.
