Looks like more information on #Boosie’s gun charges are being released. According to @billboard, San Diego police tracked his Instagram account and reportedly used a helicopter to locate him in an alleged gang-affiliated neighborhood.

The news outlet received the criminal complaint unsealed by a judge Friday and it said Boosie’s arrest was after police officers saw him on Instagram live with a “known gang member,” sporting a “black handgun tucked into his back waistband of his pants.”

Based on his May arrest, federal prosecutors have now charged Boosie with violating federal laws barring a previously convicted felon from possessing a firearm (the rapper was previously convicted on drug charges in Louisiana in 2011).

While a San Diego police detective was “conducting intelligence gathering” by monitoring the Instagram account of a “known Neighborhood Crip gang member,” prosecutors say an unidentified man was spotted “filming a music video in what appeared to be a backyard of a residence.”

Once officers were able to locate Boosie they pulled him over at a red light and Boosie reportedly told officers his security guard was in possession of the firearm. But unfortunately officers found another gun in the passenger seat which they say was the same gun that was in the Instagram live video that they were watching.

“During processing, Boosie yelled at his security, and asked why the security guard told the detective the gun was on the seat,” federal prosecutors wrote in the charging document unveiled Friday. “SDPD officers heard Boosie tell his security, ‘You told me they were in the bag.’ This statement demonstrated Boosie’s knowledge of the firearms in the Mercedes.”

As we previously reported, Boosie has been dealing with a handful of run-ins with the legal system.

In July 2022, the “Wipe Me Down” rapper was pulled over for a concealed tag and illegal window tints, which led police to search his vehicle and find weed and a large bag of cash. During the arrest, Boosie let out some frustrations he had with his repeated battles with the law.

“I can’t keep going through this, though, bro,” he said in a video of the incident posted by TMZ. “I just can’t, bro. I don’t do no wrong. I gotta go to y’all superiors and file charges, man. It’s harassment. It’s every day. I moved to the country to f**king live, bro. I did six years on my back.”

Badazz also recently revealed his desire to build an entire neighborhood for his family and friends. A clip shared to social media last month showed the process, which included

an enormous community pool, a basketball court, streets named after his children, and more.

#Socialites how do you think this will play out for him?
