Bobby Shmurda Denied Parole After Spending Six Years In Prison

Despite fans anticipating Bobby Shmurda’s release, the Brooklyn rapper has been denied parole after serving time in prison for six years.

Bobby Shmurda, real name Ackquille Pollard, reportedly had a meeting with the parole board last week and was denied. According to TMZ, a reason for the denial has yet to be confirmed and Shmurda is expected to serve to the end of his maximum sentence until December 11, 2021. The rapper also received 11 violations during his time in prison which included drug possession, fighting, and using a shank as a weapon.

Back in 2016, he copped a plea deal to conspiracy to possess weapons and possession of a weapon. His other charges which included conspiracy to murder was dropped from the case.

His mother said the rapper planned to release a documentary about his life to educate the youth and if granted parole, he planned to release new music. Last month, Shmurda posted on Instagram counting down the days until his expected parole hearing and release.
