The 2021 list of the world’s highest-paid athletes of all time have just been shared and Michael Jordan, Floyd Mayweather, and Tiger Woods are all a part of the pack this year!

Kicking off at the top, Michael Jordan, who entered the NBA in 1984 is the highest-paid athlete of all time, with inflation-adjusted career earnings of $2.62 billion, according to Sportico. While only 6% of the total is from his playing contracts with the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards, his estimate is based on salaries, endorsements, licensing, and memorabilia earnings since Jordan turned pro. This also includes ongoing endorsements in retirement with Nike, Gatorade, Hanes, and Upper Deck, the sports site reports.

Golf star Tiger Woods comes in 2nd on the list, bringing in $2.1 billion. Woods, who has made $121 million in career PGA Tour winnings, gets a lot of his money from his other businesses even nine traditional sponsors, led by Nike, plus a media deal with Discovery to provide content for GOLFTV. Of course, boxing legend Floyd “Money” Mayweather follows up with a strong $1.2 billion. The news site notes that he is the ONLY boxer to pocket more than $200 million from a fight, and he did it twice: first against Manny Pacquiao in 2015 and then versus Conor McGregor in 2017, when he raked in a record $275 million.
