The son of billionaire Ron Burkle was found dead Monday evening in his Beverly Hills apartment.
According to the New York Post, police responded to a call around 7:26 p.m. about an “unconscious male” at the home and discovered 27-year-old Andrew Burke’s body. Investigators believed Burke died hours before their arrival at the apartment.

A statement was released by the family and a cause of death is currently unknown:
“It is with the deepest regret and sadness that we announce the death of Andrew C. Burkle on January 6, 2020, in Beverly Hills, California. He is deeply loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.”

Andrew’s father, Ron, is the founder of the private equity firm Yucaipa Companies and the co-owner of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Andrew worked as a film producer with Good Company Films.
