Now, the only catch is that the American family is actually based in the United Kingdom. They live in Knightsbridge, Central London, so the full-time, “attentive” dog nanny being sought would need to be able to live in Britain, but would be able to travel with the family and their pets whenever they go on vacation or other trips.

The job posting on LinkedIn, posted by Fairfax and Kensington household staffing agency, reads, “Our returning client is seeking an exceptional and highly experienced Dog Nanny to provide top-tier care for their two beloved dogs. They are truly looking for someone at the top of their field who can ensure the overall well-being, happiness, and safety of their dogs.”

The staffing agency also states that the person selected for the position would need to “provide unparalleled care and attention to the dogs, treating them as valued members of the family.”

It is also advertised that the full-time, live-in dog nanny would need to: organize playdates with other dogs; set up and attend veterinarian appointments, and keep detailed records of the health of the doggies; and also gather food and supplies as needed.

George Ralph-Dunn, who is with the Fairfax and Kensington recruitment agency, says that the $127,000 salary this American family living in the U.K. is offering “is unheard of” in the industry. However, at the same time, the family is also asking their prospective live-in dog nanny to “drop everything and leave their private lives on the backburner” to make sure the dogs are being put first.

In addition to the aforementioned duties, the job listing also requires that the candidate can ensure “stringent security measures” to the keep the pooches safe, as they are kept in a “high-profile environment;” simply suggesting that the owners could be big celebrities or huge figures in the public eye.

Further speaking on the job posting, George says that he has already received more than 300 applications for the cool, new role being offered. He says that he has plans to conduct background checks on all of the applicants, before bringing the final list of candidates to the family for in-person interviews and trials.

George wholly explains, “With these jobs, the clients are looking for someone yesterday, and we’ve already had between 300 and 400 applications. Everyone is suddenly a dog nanny. The perfect person would be not too big of a character, and be good at blending into the background, then popping out when required.”

He adds, “The clients are billionaires looking for best-in-class service, so when it comes to their dogs, they’re happy to pay. This is the first role we’ve offered of its kind. The salary connected to it is pretty unheard of. Even as a vet, you’d be struggling to earn that amount of money. When money is no object, people want the best, and you attract the best, with the best salary. There’s six weeks off per year, but when you’re dealing with these sorts of clients, if they want to go to Monaco tomorrow, you’d be on a private jet flying with those dogs.”
