Bill Cosby’s request for an early release from prison was denied by the Pennsylvania Parole Board earlier this month.

The parole board claims there were several issues that went into denying parole for the comedian. According to TMZ, they state he failed to participate in a treatment program for sex offenders and didn’t create a parole release plan. Additionally, a negative recommendation from the Department of Corrections was sent to the parole board, officially playing a part in their decision.

Cosby’s rep, Andrew Wyatt, says the comedian is not surprised by the rejection because he was previously informed by members of the parole that he was required to attend the sex offender program.
