Looks like the queen herself, filed a petition on April 17 disputing a handful of determinations that landed her with a major $2.7 million tax bill, which her team says has many errors involved.

according to documents obtained by Page Six. Beyoncé was served with a Notice of Deficiency on January 18, 2023 that outlined unpaid taxes and penalties owed for 2018 and 2019, and the “Irreplaceable” singer is fighting back against what she believes to be errors on the IRS’ behalf —including their disallowing millions of dollars in charitable contributions over those tax years.

An additional $805,850.00 in taxes and $161,170 in penalties were assessed to the Reinassance hitmaker in 2018, according to the notice dated on January 18. For 2019, the bureau also determined that $1,442,747.00 in additional taxes and $288,549.40 in penalties were due, as well as charging interest for both years. As part of her suit, Beyoncé alleged that the IRS miscalculated by disallowing millions of dollars of taxes, depreciation, management fees, utilities and other deductions.

The petition also stated: “On information and belief, Respondent erred in determining that Qualified Business Income Deductions of $3,581 reported in 2018 and $14 reported in 2019 should be disallowed.”

Other than the lawsuit Beyonce is more focused on her upcoming tour for her ‘Renaissance’ album and according to The Sun this will be different from any other touring artist right now because Bey has reportedly secured herself a “gigantic” stage that’s so huge, she had to rent out the largest indoor arena in Europe just so that she can run through her rehearsals, hence why she’s now believed to be in France.

For those who don’t know, the La Defense Arena is the biggest indoor concert venue in the EU with a capacity of 40,000 people, and that’s where Beyonce’s crew have been getting ready for the most anticipated tours of the year.

“The structure for the stage is gigantic and on a totally different scale from any other tour right now – that’s why she needed a huge venue to rehearse in,” a source said. “And she can’t run through the show in any of the stadiums she is performing in because they aren’t soundproofed and people would hear what she was preparing.”
