Yikes! The BeyHive is relentlessly attacking iconic R&B singer Stephanie Mills after she gave her opinion on fellow legendary singers Beyonce and Diana Ross; claiming the two cannot be compared because Diana is “classy” and Bey is “Hip-Hop.”
BeyHive Attacks Stephanie Mills After Claiming Diana Ross & Beyonce Can’t Be Compared Because ‘Diana Is Classy & Bey Is Hip-Hop’
In a recent interview with VladTV, Mills said that she does not believe Beyonce and Diana Ross can be compared; further explaining that she considers Diana to be “classy,” and Bey better categorized as “Hip-Hop.”
During the interview, Mills ends up responding the interviewer claiming, “[Diana Ross] was Beyonce before Beyonce.” Interjecting, Mills says, “Oh, she — I don’t think you can compare. I don’t think you can compare Beyonce to Diana Ross.”

When the interviewer clarifies and asks, “Just in terms of stardom?‘ Mills adds, “In terms of stardom … it’s still different. I mean, Diana is glamour, and you know … Beyonce is glamour … it’s just different … it’s Hip-Hop.”
Mills continues, “I consider Beyonce Hip-Hop. And I consider Diana, R&B and Pop, and just … I consider her royalty. I’ve always wanted to be like Diana. And when I saw, ‘Lady Sings The Blues’ … I would go to her shows in Vegas … they were always so wonderful and classy, and everything. Diana Ross is epitome of beauty and class to me.”

The interviewer goes on to claim that he does not necessarily agree with Mills on her outlook on Bey being viewed as “Hip-Hop, but she doubles down. She says, “Really? I see [Beyonce] more like Hip-Hop than anything. And I still think she’s wonderful don’t get me wrong. But, it’s two different generations. It’s just totally different … to me.”
Well, much like the unconvinced interviewer, Mills is now catching heat and a lot of backlash from Bey’s number one fans, who have been attacking her for days over her recent comments.
