Bette Midler Blasts Melania Trump, “Get That Illegal Alien Off Stage”

Bette Midler always speaks her mind and this time she wasn’t shy about expressing how she felt about Melania Trump.

Midler, 74, had a few words to get off her chest while Melania was delivering her Republican National Convention speech at the the Rose Garden.

“#beBest is back! A UGE bore! She can speak several words in a few languages. Get that illegal alien off the stage!” She tweeted.

“Oh, God. She still can’t speak English,” Midler added.

The actress went on to call Melania an awful person, while throwing a few digs at Trump.

“I’m surprised Trump wants to destroy the #PostOffice. He got all his wives from it,” Midler said.

However, the actress was met with criticism. Many thought her comments were unnecessary and even branded it xenophobic.

After receiving backlash, Bette apologized for mocking Melania’s accent,

“Well, all hell has broken loose because I said Melania “still can’t speak English” last night. I was wrong to make fun of her accent. America is made up people who speak with all kinds of accents, and they are all welcomed always,” she tweeted.
