In the season premiere, Affleck disclosed the dynamics of a blended family with Lopez and managing public attention with the A-list star. He also described their parenting with their five children—three with Jennifer Garner and two stepchildren with Lopez—and the contrasts to their upbringings, stating, “I like this life for them better than the one I had, and that’s the balance, and I talk about that to Jennifer a lot.” During the interview, Affleck recalled an outing in Times Square with Lopez that summarized the intense public fascination surrounding her.

The couple was going to see a play when fans and onlookers swarmed them. “It’s amazing. Do you know what I mean?” Affleck recalled how a particularly enthusiastic fan in a purple suit caused a spectacle. This moment led to his daughter suggesting “J-Lo Was My Stepmother” as a potential title for her autobiography, describing their everyday life. However, Affleck also discussed his struggles with fame, revealing his discomfort with being known to have the “resting b**** face label when being photographed by the paparazzi, as reported by TOO FAB.

Affleck said he’s naturally shy, particularly when he’s out with his children. He also reflected on his preference for a more private life compared to his wife’s high-profile persona.

“This is why people see me and they’re like, ‘Why’s this dude always mad?’,”

“Because nobody is posting their lowest moment, no one is advertising like, ‘I’m an a–hole, look how horrendous I am. You have an outside version of your life that’s curated that you’re advertising on social media,”
Affleck explained about the facade of social media.

Despite their differences, the actor emphasized balancing and protecting their blended family.
