Bella Thorne Dragged For Saying She Started The OnlyFans Wave: “Everyone Following In My Footsteps”
Welp, Bella Thorne is back in the headlines; this time for saying she was the “first” on OnlyFans and claiming she started the big wave.
In a series of deleted Instagram stories, the 23-year-old actress said: “Everyone jumping on ONLY fans but I took the hit for doing it firsttttt coooool,” she wrote. “Legit everyone in my newsfeed following in my footsteps. But when I was getting heat y’all were scared.”
Now, when Thorne joined the app back in August she was heavily criticized for it. Despite that, she broke a record by earning $1 million dollars on her first day on the platform. However, her big payday also caused OnlyFans to cap fan tips at $100 and pay-per-view post charges at $50. While she may be very popular on the new platform, social media users are not here for Thorne alleging that people are “following in her footsteps.” One person wrote, “Hey @bellathorne, I’ve been making my living on onlyfans for like a year and a half now after seeing the success other sex workers had been having for quite some time on there. Tell me again how you did it first? Unclear on the timeline.” Another added, “The only wave Bella Thorne started was stealing money from sex workers.”
