Controversial rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine has once again found himself in legal trouble, as he was recently arrested in the Dominican Republic on a warrant related to a domestic violence incident involving his girlfriend, singer Yailin la Mas Viral.
According to AP, Tekashi 6ix9ine was taken into custody by Santo Domingo authorities on Wednesday. The arrest was made following allegations of physical and psychological violence against his girlfriend, Yailin. The local police in the Dominican Republic acted promptly, bringing him to the Palace of Justice in the capital city for further investigation.
The Department of General Violence, which specializes in handling domestic violence cases, is currently investigating the allegations against Tekashi 6ix9ine. While Dominican authorities have confirmed his arrest in a press release, specific details about the incident have not been disclosed. As of now, Tekashi remains in custody, awaiting his first court appearance scheduled for this morning.

6ix9ine has previously share videos of their alleged dispute last month. The clips he posted shows Yailin arguing and hitting him. According to the Instagram story he posted, Yailin grabbed Tekashi by the hair and then kicked the right side of the Betntley’s mirror, then she grabbed a white object and hit him in the hand.
The report also stated that Yailin wanted to leave due to Tekashi having her money, passport, and phone. He “decided to kick the driver’s side mirror and hit the windshield to cause him financial hardship because he would not give her money or her passport,” the report added. She was facing aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, battery, property damage-criminal mischief, and obstructing justice, after having reportedly attacked him.
However, she she was later granted a $9000 bond and released. Despite her arrest, it seems like the feds didn’t think 6ix9ine was that innocent since they eventually arrested him.
