AP News reporter, Krysta Fauria has issued an apology after snubbing Babyface on the red carpet at the Grammys.
Fans were calling out red carpet reporters at the 2025 Grammys for completely sidelining Babyface during an interview to chat with Chappell Roan instead.
A clip from the Associated Press’ red carpet coverage of the LA awards show on Sunday, February 2, has been making the rounds on social media after two reporters interviewed the legendary producer, who’s 65 and has snagged 12 Grammys. Babyface was in the middle of sharing his thoughts when the first reporter, Krysta Fauria, abruptly cut him off because she spotted Roan strolling by.
“Chappell!” Fauria exclaimed in the video, trying to get the “Good Luck, Babe!” singer’s attention. She said her name one more time while colleague Leslie Ambriz looked on.
“You guys want to do that? Go do that,” Babyface could be seen telling the reporters when he noticed the singer behind him.
“So sorry, Babyface. I’m so sorry,” Ambriz told him as he walked away and Roan stepped up to take his place.
After the footage surfaced all over social media, many fans shared their frustrations. Cardi B also weighed in on the trending topic and responded in our comment section by simply saying, “lame a**.”
