“B.A.P.S” And ”Eve” Actress Natalie Desselle-Reid Passes Away After Battle With Colon Cancer
Socialites, it is with our deepest regret to inform you that Natalie Desselle-Reid has sadly passed away. The news was first announced by fellow actress Holly Robinson Peete on Twitter. She tweeted this Monday,
“Just absolutely decimated by this news… Actress Natalie Desselle, a bright shining star passed away this morning. I got to know her when my mom was managing her. She will be so missed…sending out prayers to her children and husband.
💔🙏🏽😢 Rest In Peace, Sweet Girl🙏🏽”

Reid, who was best known for her roles in comedy films “B.A.P.S,” in which she starred alongside Halle Berry, and “How To Be A Player,” in which she starred with Bernie Mac, Brandy’s version of “Cinderella“ as well as the hit show “Eve,” was just 53-years-old. Her death was also confirmed on her Instagram account. A family member told TMZ she died of colon cancer after having been diagnosed earlier this year. She was in hospice care in her final days and was surrounded by family when she died.
Her manager Dolores Robinson also paid tribute to the star, writing on Twitter: “Natalie Desselle the beautiful talented actress passed away this morning. Natalie was a bright light. She was an amazing actress and comedian but also an awesome mother & wife. Sending prayers to her family. I had the pleasure of managing her career,” Mirror UK quotes.
