The world is in panic mode amidst the coronavirus crisis and it looks like Australian shoppers continue to get into wild brawls over simple groceries.
A video caught a wild brawl that broke out on Sunday at a Woolworths in Bass Hill, Sydney, while shoppers were panic buying essential groceries. The man in question was wearing a red and black sweatsuit and seemed agitated. He then launches into the crowd while accusing another man of apparently hitting his dad.
“He hit my f–king dad! I’m gonna f–king kill him!” the man screams.
A police spokeswoman told news.com.au that the man was later taken into custody over the incident. He is scheduled to appear in court April 1 after being charged with common assault on a 54-year-old man.
Woolworths said in a statement the company “will not tolerate violence of any kind from customers”.
Multiple brawls have broken out at Australia grocery stores and Woolworths, Coles and Aldi have all been forced to implement buying limits on water, toilet paper, sanitizing wipes, past and other essential items, but it does not seem to stop the crazed shoppers.
