A teacher in Australia, Tayla Brailey, 30, was arrested at Lurnea High for engaging in inappropriate sexual relations with a minor.
Court documents reveal that Miss Brailey had unprotected sex with a student in the back of a car after exchanging explicit videos. When confronted by police at the school, she reportedly asked, “I’m going to jail, aren’t I?”
Further details in the documents describe multiple sexual encounters, including an incident where she allegedly purchased the morning-after pill and another where a student reportedly witnessed her performing a sexual act at her home.
The documents indicate that Brailey sent numerous explicit photographs and videos of herself, to which one of the students responded with similar content. The boy informed police that he felt pressured to send Brailey explicit images to keep her “happy.”

Brailey has since been charged with sexually touching a person under special care and sexual intercourse with a person under special care. She appeared in Liverpool Local Court earlier this week and was granted conditional bail.
Although Brailey, who married in 2023, is not facing charges related to any other students, the court noted that investigations are ongoing.
The NSW Education Department announced that Brailey has been suspended without pay following the charges and is providing support to students and staff.
