August Alsina expressed his thoughts after Jada Pinkett-Smith called their relationship an “entanglement” during last week’s episode of Red Table Talk.

During an interview with Vulture, August Alsina confirmed that he didn’t see the full episode of Red Table Talk but watched the short clips on social media. He says he took a small break from Instagram during the time but was aware of the now-popular term “entanglement” after people within his circle brought it to his attention. Alsina claims that Jada used the correct way to describe their relationship and had no issue with it.
He explained, “If you look up the definition of ‘entanglement,’ it is a complex and difficult relationship. It was exactly that, I think it’s just the language that probably stuck out to people. But I definitely have to agree with it being an entanglement. It definitely was something complicated, a complicated dynamic.”

The R&B singer added that he doesn’t see his relationship with Jada as a scandal and the public’s reaction has taught him many lessons about himself. Additionally, he says Jada didn’t prey on him or acted like a predator.
“I think that everything worked out in the way that it should… There’s nothing to regret because it’s not something I went searching for. It’s not something I went after. I don’t go after people’s girls. Nobody preyed on me or was a predator towards me. This is none of that,”
