Rebel Wilson is in hot water after leaked audio accuses the actress of soliciting her PR (public relations) team to plot a smear campaign against ‘The Deb‘ producer Amanda Ghost with claims of sex trafficking “young women for the pleasure of the extremely wealthy.”

On Friday morning (March 13), The Hollywood Reporter, leaked audio allegedly depicting Jed Wallace, who owns a crisis public relations firm, instructing another publicist to smear Ghost as an “absolute madame” who was “getting hookers for [Len] Blavatnik,” a billionaire whose AI Film company financed the movie, ‘The Deb.’
In the audio, Wallace allegedly told top entertainment publicist Melissa Nathan, “We can’t just do, like, oh, she’s a b*tch, she sucks. It’s, like, it’s got to be really, really heavy and connected to something that heavy.” At another point during the private conversation, Wallace alleged Hollywood power lawyer Bryan Freedman, Wilson’s then attorney, was also in cahoots.

Rebel Wilson’s PR Team Allegedly Called ‘The Deb’ Producer Amanda Ghost ‘The Indian Ghislaine Maxwell’
According to THR, the implication of the three power players on Wilson’s team stems from Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively‘s ‘It Ends With Us‘ legal battle. In the legal saga, Wilson’s former attorney, Freedman, played an integral role. The legal drama involved a breach of contract lawsuit from Baldoni’s former publicist Stephanie Jones against her client and his production company Wayfarer.
Furthermore, THR reports that the alleged audio continues to show that Nathan’s The Agency Group, which has long-worked with Freedman, allegedly launched websites to attack and defame Ghost with incriminating claims. Reportedly, Wallace only had the conversation recorded so that Wallace’s instructions effectively made it to former TAG Vice President Katie Case, who was not present on the call.
Case was to listen to Wallace’s instructions and then review a document detailing accusations against Ghost, which were ultimately shared on a website. According to court documents, Wilson’s production company, Camp Sugar, is listed as an author of the document.
The now-deleted site — entitled “Amanda Ghost is a Destroyer of Worlds” — claims a whistleblower wrote the copy. It stated, in part, “Failing in music she turned full pimp, reinventing herself as a theatrical producer alongside her husband while really procuring young women for the pleasure of the extremely wealthy.” It also refers to Ghost as the “Indian Ghislaine Maxwell.”
In a statement, Ghost’s lawyer, Camille Vasquez, said:
“Rebel Wilson has repeatedly denied any involvement in the creation of the smear websites — not just on television but in her sworn legal testimony. We, however, had long suspected that she not only contributed to the malicious sites but that she was the driving force behind them. The evidence we have submitted to the court in California supports that conclusion.”
Additionally, Wilson’s lawyer, Allyson Thompson, said:
“Freedman no longer represents Ms. Wilson and hasn’t for some time. In a deposition, Ms. Case also confirmed that she never personally spoke with Ms. Wilson.”
Rebel Wilson’s PR Team Compares ‘The Deb’ Producer Amanda Ghost To ‘Heidi Fleiss’
While Freedman insists that he nor Wallace and Nathan had involvement in the defamatory websites, court documents appear to show otherwise. According to an alleged August 2024 exchange between Freedman and Wallace, Nathan shares plans with Case to launch a digital attack on Ghost. At the time, Ghost was in a heated legal battle with Wilson over her directorial debut, ‘The Deb.’
Nathan allegedly texted, “So basically, Rebel wants one of those sites. It can be really really harsh. And then link it to the [sic] Jed’s voice thing.” Nathan later texted Case and said, “Jed and Bryan asking me for copy lol kill me.” The copy in question allegedly shows its author as Wilson’s Camp Sugar company and shows edits made to match Wallace’s instructions.
Furthermore, in the audio, Wallace allegedly told Nathan to say that Ghost provides Blavatnik with sex workers. Wallace allegedly said:
“So basically what we need to do is, we need to create a path where we expose Amanda Ghost. Amanda Ghost is like the new Heidi Fleiss. Like, she masquerades as — the reason why she sucks so bad at music is because she’s actually getting hookers for Blavatnik, right, and that’s what she does. I think you, me, and Bryan and maybe Katie, since she’ll write this thing, what we have to do [is] connect Amanda Ghost with Blavatnik.”
