Attorney Ben Crump Gives Update After Breonna Taylor’s Family Meets With Kentucky AG: “We Do Expect Charges To Be Filed“ Soon
The family of Breonna Taylor met with Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron this week and for the first time since her death, Breonna’s family is hopeful justice will be served. The meeting, initiated by Cameron, included Taylor’s mother, sister, aunt and family attorneys, according to Cameron’s office and attorney Sam Aguiar, who is representing the family.

While not many details were shared on their meeting, it was said that Cameron also wanted to meet with them to personally offer his condolences.
During a Thursday press confrence, Attorney Ben Crump spoke about the meeting and said as a result, “We do expect charges to be filed sooner rather than later for those responsible for the death and the execution of Breonna Taylor.” He added that “we expect, hopefully before 200 days, charges to happen.” This week marked 150 days since her tragic death.

As we previously reported, Taylor an EMT, was just 26-years-old when she was killed on March 13 in her home in Louisville, Kentucky, by Louisville Metro Police. She and boyfriend Kenneth Walker were in their own home when police raided it. Officers who were looking for someone who had been taken into police custody hours earlier — had the wrong address. Sadly, Taylor was shot eight times. Only one officer was fired months after the incident, none of the officers involved have been arrested or charged.
