At Least 7 COVID-19 Patients Dead After Hospital Runs Out Of Oxygen
At least 7 COVID-19 patients are dead after a Hospital in Jordan ran out of oxygen. Subsequent to massive protests erupting across the Middle Eastern kingdom over insufficient resources, the nation’s health minister was quickly fired.
It’s reported that the state hospital in Salt had no oxygen for at least two hours on Saturday morning (Mar. 13). Following the depletion, officials were seen rushing into the hospital with portable devices to save the lives of various COVID-19 patients, however at least seven people died.

Following the tragic loss of live, Reuters reports that Prime Minister Bisher al Khasawneh said he fired health minister Nathir Obeidat. In a follow-up statement, where he apologized and took on full responsibility for the incident. He said, “This is a gross mistake that cannot be justified or accepted. I feel ashamed of it and won’t justify it.” He added that he “bore moral responsibility” for the deaths of the patients.
