At Least 5 People Have Been Shot In Brooklyn Subway Station, Explosives Found
According to multiple reports including the Associated Press, several people were shot Tuesday morning at a subway station in Brooklyn, New York, law enforcement sources confirmed.

A New York City Fire Department spokesperson said that fire personnel responding to reports of smoke at the 36th Street station in the Sunset Park neighborhood found multiple people shot along with undetonated devices. Preliminary information indicated a suspect was wearing a construction vest and a gas mask, and is still at large, according to multiple law enforcement sources briefed on the investigation.
Videos and pictures that have been shared online show people tending to bloodied passengers lying on the floor of the station. While further details were not immediately available, trains servicing that station were delayed during the morning rush hour.
NYPD recently shared this tweet that read,
“In regard to the multiple people shot at the 36th Street subway station in Brooklyn, there are NO active explosive devices at this time. Any witnesses are asked to call @NYPDTips at #800577TIPS. Please stay clear of the area. More provided information when available.”
At least 13 people are injured in the incident, according to a city source. NBC News’ latest update says, “A man was spotted throwing a device in a station and then opened fire. Some of the wounded passengers made their escape by jumping on a train, the sources say.”
