At Least 5 Killed In Massive Crash On Icy Texas Interstate
At least five people were killed and at least 36 people taken to hospitals nearby following a major crash on Interstate 35W in the Texas city of Fort Worth this Thursday morning.
According to CBS, the massive crash involved 75 to 100 vehicles. At the scene of the crash, several semitrailers, cars, and trucks had crashed into each other and had turned every which way, with some vehicles on top of others.

Matt Zavadsky, a spokesman for MedStar, explained, “The vehicles are just mangled.” “Multiple tow trucks are on scene. It’s going to take a lot to disentangle this wreck. The roadway was so treacherous from the ice that several of the first responders were falling on the scene,” Zavadsky said.
Fort Worth police said the crash was likely caused by the weather. Freezing rain has caused slick roads in the Fort Worth area. Police also noted that the scene is about 1 mile long.
“Please stay safe out there, and pray for all of those involved,” Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price tweeted.
