Ashley St. Clair has criticized Elon Musk for allegedly being absent from their child’s life, claiming he has only seen the baby three times since his birth in September 2024. She previously filed a lawsuit seeking sole custody of her son, R.S.C.

According to an exclusive with PEOPLE, a representative for St. Clair claims that the lawsuit is not about money, but about holding Musk accountable for his lack of involvement as a father. “Mr. Musk spends more time on his own social media platform talking about his children’s mothers than talking to them,” her rep stated.

The lawsuit reportedly comes after YouTuber Jerry Rig accused Musk of “abandoning” a five-month-old child, prompting the billionaire to defend himself in a post on X (formerly Twitter). “I have always paid extremely generous child support and without any coercion to do so,” Musk wrote. “Sometimes the mother asked for money vastly in excess of what the children could possibly need, so that needed to be adjudicated.”

Musk’s custody battles and co-parenting disputes have been widely publicized, with Grimes also filing legal action against him last year regarding their shared children.
