A$ap Relli Is Reportedly ‘Thrilled’ About A$ap Rocky’s Assault Charges In Alleged LA Shooting

A$ap Relli, the former Mob member who is accusing A$ap Rocky of allegedly shooting at him back in November, is relieved that the rapper has been charged with two counts of assault with a firearm in the incident he claimed almost ended his life. Earlier this week, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office charged the “D.M.B” rapper for the alleged crime, where he’s said to have pulled a gun on Relli during a heated confrontation stemming from a previous issue the pair had between one another.

Relli’s attorney Jamal Tooson spoke to TMZ, saying that his client initially worried that cops wouldn’t believe his story because Rocky is considered “so powerful in Hollywood” that there were concerns the case would be tossed out with no charges being filed against the 33-year-old. Relli was not hit by the gunshots that were fired in his direction, but he says he came within inches of losing his life when their quarrel escalated to gunfire.

The music producer has been experiencing a “profound psychological impact” from the fiasco and is glad that cops didn’t overlook his claims and brushed it off as a money grab. Relli is determined to seek justice for what he alleges transpired in November, and while he escaped without any injuries, Tooson shared that his client has been struggling with emotional distress, even more so now that people have been sending him death threats since filing his suit against his ex-pal, who he has known since their high school days.

“Discharging a gun in a public place is a serious offense that could have ended with tragic consequences not only for the person targeted but also for innocent bystanders visiting Hollywood,” District Attorney George Gascon said this week. “My office conducted a thorough review of the evidence in this case and determined that the addition of a special firearm allegation was warranted.”

Rocky is expected to be arraigned on Wednesday as the case remains under investigation by the LAPD and Robbery/Homicide Division. The New Yorker was infamously arrested back in April in connection to the shooting, having just returned from his vacation to Barbados with a then-heavily pregnant Rihanna.

That same month, another Mob associate, A$ap Bari took to social media, telling fans that the reason behind Rocky’s arrest was because Relli had “snitched.” But it wasn’t confirmed that Relli had cooperated with police until last week when his attorney said his client would be suing Rocky for the shooting.
