A$AP Rocky Delivers 120 Meals To Families In Need At New York Shelter He & Mom Once Lived
In addition to Michael Jordan and others, A$AP Rocky is giving back this Thanksgiving as he delivers 120 meals to families in need at a New York shelter where he and his mom once lived.
The 32-year-old rapper and fashion-forward icon clearly hasn’t forgotten his roots and where he has come from as he partnered with Postmates, turning himself into a Postmate and personally dropping off 120 meals from one of his favorite spots in Harlem, Amy Ruth’s Restaurant. The two-time Grammy Award-nominated rapper dropped off the meals to the Regent Family Residence on the upper west side, there he served 83 families, including 111 kids.

The Harlem organization is also a part of the Volunteers of America, which has provided affordable housing assistance since 1896. In the early 2000s, Rocky and his mother Renee Black stayed at the shelter themselves. It’s noted that the mother and son hugely benefited from the shelter’s lifesaving services.
