An active-duty Army soldier has been arrested and charged with murder after he randomly shot three people and injured several others at a bowling alley in Illinois.

According to the Daily Mail, 37-year-old Duke Webb was arrested charged with three counts of murder and an additional three counts of attempted murder. Authorities reported that Webb opened fire at the Don Carter Lanes bowling alley late Saturday evening in Rockford and the ages of the deceased victims were 73, 65, and 69.
A 65-year-old man was shot several times and he remains in critical condition and two other victims were reported to be in stable condition. A statement was released by Mayor Tom McNamara who prayed for the swift recovery of those injured and sent his condolences to the families affected by the shooting.
‘My thoughts are with the families of those who lost loved ones. I’m also thinking of those who were injured and my hopes are with them for a quick and full recovery.’

Don Carter Lanes also released a statement in the wake of the tragic shooting on Facebook. It reads, “A heinous act of violence by an evil coward took innocent life tonight. The entire bowling community mourns the senseless loss of life and prays for the families. God, please be with their friends and families. Thank you to law enforcement for your heroic actions that prevented further loss of life. A candlelight vigil will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 29th at 6:30 pm Please park in the East or West lots and gather in the North lot.”
The outlet also reported that the bowling alley’s bar and grill were open since the recreational area has been closed since November 20.
