A Maine man reports that a group of armed neighbors came to his home and blocked it off with a tree to force him and others inside to quarantine.

The man who lives in Vinalhaven said he went to check on his cable box and discovered the tree outside.

“While investigating the downed tree, a neighbor started yelling at him and a group of people showed up and began to gather around. Believing the group may be there to harm him, (he) fled to his residence and told his roommates what he had found,” the sheriff’s office said on a Facebook post.

When police arrived they found that a tree had been cut and dragged into the driveaway because the neighbors believed that the occupants of the house had the Coronavirus.
