Armed Chicken Bandit Robs Roscoes After Being Denied Service For Not Wearing A Mask

People have officially lost it. A maskless chicken bandit didn’t take it too well after he was denied service at a Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles in Pasadena, California because he didn’t have a mask on.

What did he do next? The man returned through the back of the restaurant, demanded all the chicken and waffles at gun point and then escaped.

The LA Times reports that Cook Robert Gonzalez recalls being in the kitchen on Wednesday when the chicken thief entered.

“He comes straight toward me with a gun, pointing at me and saying put all the chicken in the bag,” Gonzalez said.

“He didn’t take any cash,” manager Angela Prieto said. “He actually took chicken and before he walked out the door he took syrup for his chicken.”

Despite the nature of the incident, the staff were still afraid,

“They were feeling scared, especially my cashier,” Prieto added. “She was very, very scared. And when I first talked to her she was basically hysterical, but after a while she calmed down and started laughing about it because she realized all he did was take some chicken.”

Luckily, no-one was injured, and surveillance video caught the suspect’s face. Pasadena police urge anyone with information to call them at (626)744-4501
