Reagan Gray, a 26-year-old Arkansas teacher who volunteered at Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock, is accused of sexually assaulting a church boy and allegedly “bombarding him with nude photos,” even after an initial investigation, and giving him oral sex instead of intercourse to “stay pure.”
According to police, the Arkansas teacher sexually assaulted a 15-year-old boy she met at the church — which is one of the largest in the state that was once frequented by President Bill Clinton. Police said that the Arkansas teacher allegedly told them that she would not go further than oral sex with the boy, who was also a member of the student ministry, so that he could “stay pure.”
In addition to oral sex, the teacher, who had been teaching at Little Rock Christian Academy, is accused of sending the church boy nude photos “on a daily basis.” The alleged abuse is said to have begun in the Fall of 2020 at the church. FBI investigators claim the Arkansas teacher would allegedly meet with the church boy in her car and at her apartment in Monticello until May 2021. The child told investigators that they had relations between five and ten times in the Fall of 2020.

The alleged abuse was discovered when the boy’s parents found alleged text messages on his phone alluding to the alleged affair. Investigators claimed that when the boy’s parents discovered the alleged texts, they confronted the Arkansas teacher and informed the church’s leader, Pastor Steven Smith.
However, instead of alerting the police, Pastor Smith ordered the woman to church counseling, assigning her an “accountability partner,” who happened to be his wife, Ashley Smith. Within weeks of her being ordered to church counseling, the teacher was welcomed back to rejoin the congregation and once back, the alleged abuse continued. However, instead of using WhatsApp — which is where the boy claimed the teacher found his number within a church music group — the teacher allegedly switched to contacting the child on Snapchat.

Police were finally contacted in February 2024, when it was learned that the teacher was still allegedly messaging the child on Snapchat. During the FBI investigation, a church leader admitted that during church counseling, the Arkansas teacher confessed last year that the relations she had with the child had been “sexual in nature” and that things allegedly continued after her suspension from the church.
When investigators asked the church boy if he ever replied to the Arkansas teacher’s demands for nude photos when she allegedly “bombarded” him with her own photos, he reportedly said he could not remember. He allegedly said, “I don’t have explicit memory of doing that but, with how often she requested it, it probably did happen.”
On Wednesday (April 24), the Arkansas teacher — who was placed on administrative leave in February by her new job at Sylvan Hills Middle School — turned herself into Little Rock Police, who charged her with a single felony count of sexual assault of a minor and released her on $20,000 bond. Since, her attorney, John Ogles, stated that she denied the single charge and is expected to clear her name, claiming, “We trust the judicial system.”
