The man who made headlines for grabbing Ariana Grande at the Wicked: For Good premiere in Singapore has now been kicked out of a Lady Gaga concert in Australia, just hours before it began.

According to Page Six, Johnson Wen was seen being escorted out of Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane by event staff shortly before 8 p.m., when Lady Gaga’s concert was scheduled to start. Wen later confirmed the incident himself in a social media post. “Got kicked out of a Lady Gaga concert! The show doesn’t start until 8 p.m.! The early fans were booing me,” he wrote on Instagram, acknowledging that security had removed him from the venue.

Wen Previously Went Viral for Grabbing Ariana Grande on the Red Carpet

Wen became an international headline in November after footage showed him putting his arm around Ariana Grande’s neck during the Wicked: For Good red carpet premiere in Singapore.

Co-stars Cynthia Erivo and Michelle Yeoh quickly intervened to protect Grande while security escorted Wen off the yellow carpet. However, moments later, Wen attempted to rush the barricade a second time before being stopped again by security guards.

The incident drew widespread attention, with fans and fellow celebrities expressing concern for Grande’s safety at public events.

Wen Served Jail Time Following Public Nuisance Charge

Following the red carpet incident, Wen was sentenced to serve nine days in jail after pleading guilty to a public nuisance charge.

During his sentencing, the judge noted Wen’s attention-seeking behavior, stating that he appeared to act without concern for others’ safety. Despite his short sentence, Wen’s name has continued to circulate in entertainment news after his latest public disruption in Australia.

Concert Organizers Take Extra Security Measures

While Lady Gaga’s team has not released an official statement regarding Wen’s removal, witnesses at the concert said the crowd booed as he was escorted out.

Sources told Page Six that Wen was recognized by concertgoers before security was alerted, prompting staff to escort him from the stadium before the show began. Fans online have since reacted with frustration, with some noting that concert security made the “right call” given his prior actions.
