Are You Still Mad At Him? DaBaby Returns to Rolling Loud Stage Months After Homophobic Rant
Is DaBay officially forgiven? The rap star returned to the Rolling Loud festival stage Thursday just months after his controversial performance that almost got him “canceled.”
Now, DaBaby wasn’t part of the official lineup for Day 1 of the festival in New York at Citi Field in Queens but instead, was brought out by 50 Cent as a special guest. Rolling Loud organizers reportedly approved DaBaby’s appearance.

As we previously reported, DaBaby faced heavy backlash back in July over the remarks he made during his set. He said, “If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up. Ladies, if your p*ssy smell like water, put your cellphone lighter up. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking d*ck in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.” After being dropped by several festivals, DaBaby issued several public apologies and even met with 11 HIV organizations.
DaBaby’s big meeting included representatives from Black AIDS Institute, Gilead Sciences COMPASS Initiative, Coordinating Centers, GLAAD, National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC), The Normal Anomaly Initiative, Positive Women’s Network-USA, Prevention Access Campaign (U=U), the Southern AIDS Coalition, and Transinclusive Group.
