Are You Here For This? Kanye West Reportedly Files Trademark To Open YZYSPLY Retail Stores!

Kanye West is stepping it all the way up with his Yeezy brand!

The fashion and business mogul came together with his legal team and recently filed to trademark “YZYSPLY” for retail stores. The new trademark suggests that he’s going bigger possibly opening a brick-and-mortar store. According to the latest filing, obtained by @TMZ, it includes clothing items like shirts, socks, hats, visors, tennis wear, g-strings, “accessories” headwear as well as footwear.

While his complete plans have not been shared just yet, YZYSPLY, could possibly be a one-stop shopping location for everything under his brand that his fans love. As we previously reported, Ye and GAP recently dropped their first release of clothes, which fans were definitely here for but to have it in his retail stores would be even better for his die-hard fans.

More On Kanye And His GAP Partnership

The 10-year deal with GAP for his Yeezy brand began in June 2020. At the time, the announced that they were teaming up under the Yeezy Gap name to create modern, elevated basics at accessible price points. When the partnership was announced, Gap’s stock increased by nearly 19 percent to $12.07 in a day.

“We are excited to welcome Kanye back to the Gap family as a creative visionary, building on the aesthetic and success of his YEEZY brand and together defining a next-level retail partnership,” said Mark Breitbard, Global Head of Gap Brand, in a statement at the time of the announcement, noting that West worked in a Chicago Gap store in his teens.

“Yeezy brings ‘street cred’ to Gap,” says Mickey Alam Kahn, editor of Luxury Daily. “Yeezy is a reason for excitement for Gap, a brand which lost its way, being neither preppy, hip, or athleisure in perception.”

Yeezy Gap revealed its first apparel drop in June 2021: a $200 round puffer jacket made from recycled nylon that comes in blue, black and red. It’s second Yeezy Gap drop in September, this time a 100 percent cotton, double layer hoodie that came in purple, brown, black and blue. The hoodie also came in adult and children’s sizes.

While Yeezy Gap has released several drops from its collaboration, fans got even more of a treat after expanding the collab room with LUXRY brand, Balenciaga. The new launch brought a bonus re-stocking of some pieces from the previous drop, including dove-graphic hoodies and tees. Prices range from $60 to $500.

Kanye West Talking About His Yeezy Brand

Kanye has always held his brand to high standards. In an interview he previously said,
“I believe that Yeezy is the McDonald’s and the Apple of apparel,” West said while speaking with WSJ Magazine. “In order to make the Apple of apparel the next Gap, it has to be a new invention.”
