After hinting at another presidential run since he left office, Donald Trump is reportedly expected to make a big announcement this Tuesday night, according to @ABCNews.
Donald Trump gave a heads-up about his next big move last week as he was speaking at a rally in Ohio. Trump told supporters, “I’m going to be making a very big announcement on Tuesday, November 15, at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.”
The announcement, which Trump has been hinting at for months, would be his third bid for the White House. Although he won the 2016 election, his chances seem rocky this time around as he’s currently facing multiple criminal and civil investigations.
How Has Donald Trump Been Handling His 2020 Presidential Loss To President Joe Biden?
Trump, who lost his reelection bid in 2020 has not accepted his “L.” Instead, he has continued to spread false claims that the 2020 election was “rigged” and “stolen.”
Speaking on the one-time President, former
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki defended President Biden against people who believe he wouldn’t have a good chance at running again… and against Donald Trump.
In a tweet Monday, she said those saying he shouldn’t run because of how old he is should consider Donald Trump’s seniority as well:
“Just throwing out there. For everyone who is arguing the reason @POTUS shouldn’t run again is because of his age…you know Donald Trump is 76 right?” Psaki posted on Monday. Trump would be 78 on election day in 2024 and Biden would be weeks shy of turning 82.
Biden was asked on Wednesday if he had a message for Americans who don’t want him to run for re-election. “Watch me,” he said to reporters after the midterm elections, where Democrats held control of the U.S. Senate.
