After a string of successful collaborations with major brands, Kim Kardashian is clearly not slowing down. If anything, she’s applying pressure.

Her billion-dollar brand SKIMS is officially taking things up a notch with its boldest move yet: footwear. This week, NikeSKIMS unveiled its first-ever shoe, marking a major milestone in the brand’s evolution.

The debut sneaker is a reimagined version of Nike’s iconic split-toe Rift, originally introduced in the ’90s and remembered for its daring tabi-style design. Now, that same silhouette has been refined through the SKIMS lens: cleaner, sleeker, and intentionally minimal.

Developed in partnership with Nike, the NikeSKIMS Rift features the signature split toe designed to move naturally with the foot, a single midfoot strap for easy entry and a secure fit, and a stripped-back midsole inspired by the original Rift’s barefoot-running roots. The textured logo outsole finishes the look with subtle branding and grip.

The goal here isn’t loud performance or overdesigned tech. It’s fluid movement and everyday wearability. Think studio sessions, gym runs, errands, and casual moments that still require a clean look. The low-profile silhouette keeps it versatile, while the design makes it impossible to ignore.

Kim explained why the Rift felt like the right starting point for NikeSKIMS footwear.

“There’s something so powerful and beautiful about a ballet flat, which is why reimagining the Nike Rift for the first NikeSKIMS sneaker felt perfect,” she said. “The Rift isn’t just a shoe — it’s a 90s icon that women everywhere have fallen in love with. Together with Nike, we focused on creating a version that feels minimalist, sleek and flattering.”

That vision lines up perfectly with SKIMS’ track record. The brand has consistently turned everyday essentials into elevated staples, and now that same formula is being applied from the ground up. Literally.

The NikeSKIMS Rift Mesh is set to release in North America on January 26, available on Nike.com, Skims.com, and at select retail locations.

At this point, it’s obvious. Kim Kardashian isn’t experimenting. She’s building.
